HELP SEND FOOD PEOPLE TO PLANET COMICON KC!

 

Just a few short months ago, Comicon 2021 wasn't even guaranteed to happen, Comicon 2020 was cancelled, and the waiting list for exhibitor submissions was huge due to the backlog. 

 

So like... 

 

 

And we didn't budget for it, so this is an emergency campaign to raise funds for our vendor fees and the cost of exhibit materials. The vendor fees are basically due now, but - in light of our situation - the festival is graciously holding a spot for us until early July. (They're also giving us a discount, putting us in a busy family area, and giving us some extra marketing. Why?? We have no idea.)

 

 

And we only have about a week to meet our goal, or they'll probably stop being nice and drop us for someone who could pay them more and actually attract attention. 

 

 

Our booth is gonna be pretty rad. Here's why:

 

A.) We'll be there.

B.) You'll be there.

C.) One or more characters will be there talking to passersby in real time from a TV screen

D.) There will be a reeeally excellent Food People photo op stage

E.) There will be merch

F.) It's Comicon

 

 

A year ago, we were working 24/7 trying to build something new and exciting during a time of rapid decay. We were meeting with our actors one at a time. We still haven't been in the same room with more than two of them together. Now we suddenly have a chance to see lots of them at once, safely, at the biggest festival in KC, surrounded by our friends, family, and a bunch of random fandom offspring who might be confused enough to ask for their autographs.

 

 

And it is truly a moment where EVERY little bit helps. Our goal isn't too tall, but our time is extra short.
